Tommy McMillen is on the main card of Noche UFC 4 this weekend, don’t do it remind Edgar Chairese though. Let’s just say the cheeky 28-year-old has made quite a name for himself despite only being around for a minute. And he’s done it by doing something that fits very well with his “Tommy Gun” nickname; shooting in the mouth.
McMillen booked his spot at Noche UFC 4 after telling the UFC to “send him” the “King of Mexico” on the card, which takes place in Arizona (where he lives). The UFC obliged him to send a Moroccan who fights out of Australia in the form of Marwan Rahik.
During this interview, the UFC dueling veteran called for a backup role UFC 333 is coming up; where Alexander Volkanovski will defend his UFC featherweight title against Movsar Evloev.
“If the UFC hits me and they need a backup for that fight, (Aleksandr Volkanovski) and whatever the hell, dude — the other dude is so boring, let’s be real,” McMillen said. “Nobody wants to see him win. F*ck wrestlers, dude. You gotta want to go out there and lay on people. I could do that too. I could have done that in all my last fights.”
“I could go out and lay on those guys and be Khamzat (Chimaev) and do all that,” McMillen continued. “This shit is boring, bro. Nobody wants to do it. We’re hoping Volk wins. But like 100 percent, the UFC wants to pay me and say, ‘Yo, Tommy, come back up this fight.’ Fuck me, bro. I’m gonna pull in there like a bag of damn Cheez-Its and dust them off, bro.”
McMillen’s confidence seems to stem, at least in part, from starting life as an MMA and UFC fighter. He is now 10-0 finished Alberto Montes in the third round July at UFC Oklahoma City. Before that, he finished off Manolo Zehcchini in the first round of APEX in April. For both wins, he won a performance of the night bonus.
McMillen finished the Contender Series in September 2025 with a majority decision victory over David Mgoyan.
“I don’t think there’s a guy in the world at 145 pounds that I can’t beat,” McMillen said before describing his very high self-esteem. “And that’s where my confidence comes from. I really believe I can beat somebody at 145 pounds. I know I have the tools to do it. I’m 6’6, 220 pounds. Like 6’6, 220. I’m so big at 45 years old. So I have that in my arsenal and then you add that I can struggle my whole life. I’ll wrestle if I have to, and then my love of fighting and the ability to fight with someone.
Lord knows what McMillen will say when he crushes Rahik on Saturday night. He already had a few things to say to his opponent when they bumped into a fighter hotel. But based on our traffic numbers, win or lose, there are a lot of people interested in what McMillen is doing in this space.
