We continue to monitor events in the state on Thursdays Tip of the day.
We’ve turned our attention from baseball to the NFL for today’s offering and it’s the opening game of week five of the season.
Thursday Night Football sees the underdogs Tampa Bay Buccaneers assume the Dallas Cowboys in Texas
The Bucs are off to a woeful start and face the game 0-4 and bottom of the NFC South. They’ve lost eight of their last nine, including last season’s finale, and haven’t won on the road in nearly a year.
The Cowboys have been successful, shown by their 2-2 record. They score a lot of points, only the Buffalo Bills have put up more than their 122, but they have struggled defensively.
That might not be a problem tonight against Bucs quarterback Jalon Daniels, who will make his second career start in place of the injured Baker Mayfield.
This has a convincing Cowboys win written all over it.
We think Dallas wins by at least 10 points with running back Javonte Williams, who has thrown for six touchdowns in four games this season, getting into the end zone at least once.
Thursday tip! (Odds are from bet365 and correct as of 9am on Thursday 8 October)
Spread: Dallas Cowboys -10 points @ tied
Javonte Williams: Anytime touchdown scorer at 5/12
Combined odds of 8/5
A £10 bet will return £26
