Kendall Gray and Kelani Jordan held the highest ratings by both fans and Dave Meltzer WWE NXT Hot Wave 2026. Jordan captured the NXT Women’s Championship On his first shot in the nearly 23-minute fight.
After the event, NXT General Manager Robert Stone praised the two women, “Destroyed open radio,” and said he knew Jordan would be great to see him at the WWE Performance Center in 2022. Stone said sometimes you just know if someone has what it takes or not.
“You know if wrestling is going to be easy for them. If they’re going to be stars, how far will they go,” he said. “I will say this, it goes for Kendall as well. When I first saw Kelani Jordan, I knew she was going to be something. I think everybody who saw him early on knew that… You watch him play Heatwave, whatever it was, 25 straight minutes of action. The cardio he’s in is like no other. The way he looks, he looks like a superstar.”
He said he believes Jordan and Gray will both be on WrestleMania cards in the future, and wrestlers competing at a high level whose women already “don’t come often.” As for a rematch between them, Stone said Gray is still recovering from a possibly kayfabe post-heat wave vertigo, and so is he. Underground match against Lola Vice. However, he has a provision in mind for when Gray returns.
“The first match that comes to mind, the dream match between those two, is an Iron Man match,” Stone said. “They went for what, 25 minutes, they could have gone 30, they could have gone an hour, hands down.”
