PLE from all WWE 2026 NXT Halloween Mayhem! This last weekend doesn’t seem to be one that will be remembered fondly by most fans or even some people in WWE. And the blame for that negative feeling seems to go to one game. Naraku vs. Shiloh Hill. On the last one “Wrestling Observer Radio”, Dave Meltzer, himself a critic of the Naraku-Hill match, revealed that some people in WWE were so upset with the match that they felt it cast a shadow over the rest of the PLE.
“I heard from some people there, and I found their comments interesting because their main comment was, ‘Yeah, Naraku and Shiloh Hill ruined the whole show,'” Meltzer said.
The feud between Naraku and Hill started after the former cost the latter a chance to compete for the NXT North American Championship back in August. The competition would quickly turn to relying on the use of the fog, however, after Naraku used several different variations of the fog to attack Hill over the following weeks. The fog would eventually become the focus of their Halloween Doom match, as both men sprayed each other with orange fog while making their way to the ring for their match.
This led to the most polarizing of Halloween Destruction, as both Naraku and Hill would have psychotic trips that were seen in segments that took place at PLE. Both would eventually end up in the ring and regain their senses, resulting in Hill winning after countering Naraku’s mist attack with one of his own before hitting a neckbreaker.
