October 9: Real Madrid have signed Uber Eats as the club’s official delivery partner in Spain on a three-season deal that runs until mid-2029.
The agreement gives Uber Eats a presence at the Santiago Bernabéu and on Real Madrid’s digital channels. Real Madrid is one of the most followed clubs in the world on social networks.
Both will develop joint campaigns, content and experiences for fans in Spain and internationally. The first activation is already live under the slogan ‘hunger has brought us here’.
Emilio Butragueño, director of institutional relations at Real Madrid and club legend, said: “We are delighted with this alliance with a leading company in its sector with which we share values such as leadership, teamwork, the will to improve and the pursuit of excellence.”
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The agreement adds to the commercial activity of Real Madrid this season. At the end of September the club renewed its collaboration with Sportfive, which continues as an authorized VIP ticket partner for the Bernabéu.
Real Madrid’s main commercial partners include Adidas as kit supplier, Emirates as front shirt sponsor and HP as sleeve sponsor.
Delivery companies have become regular sponsors of European football in recent seasons, with viewing of matches and at home providing natural tie-ins for food ordering.
