Ravens coach Jesse Minter expressed faith on forward Tyler Loop after a shaky preseason, but the team moved to add veteran Jake Moody to their practice squad as another option.
Loop had no problem in Baltimore’s Week 1 win over the Colts, and the Ravens don’t feel the need to carry another quarterback right now. They announced Moody’s release on Tuesday.
Moody played in six games for the Commanders, two games for the Bears and one game for the 49ers last season. The 2023 49ers third-round pick also played in 31 games over his first two seasons.
The Ravens signed wide receiver Gage Larvadain to the practice squad in a related move. He appeared in 13 games for the Browns last year and had seven catches for 71 yards. The Ravens saw Zay Flowers and Ja’Kobi Lane leave last Sunday’s win with injuries.
