After his team lost the game, Rams forward Alaric Jackson lost his cool and punched Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb.
After the game ended, while Chubb was talking to players from both teams near midfield, Jackson approached him and they briefly exchanged nasty before Jackson threw a right hook to Chubb’s jaw. Chubb didn’t bother after that.
“It’s just emotion, you know what I mean? Emotional game, it was a close game,” Chubb told the California Post. “They always get the second guy, so I let him swing, and then my teammates held me back and I just went cold.”
Chubb was also seen talking to Rams linebacker Myles Garrett on the field, but when asked if the two had exchanged words, Chubb said there was no problem.
“Just the whole team. Like I said, it was an emotional game. Tempers were fired,” Chubb said. “But it is what it is. We put it away and move on to next week.”
Chubb did not mention Jackson by name in his postgame interview.
“Someone moved, but hey, it’s not for me to say who,” Chubb said. “There’s cameras there. I just know, you know what I’m saying, I’m ready for next week.”
Asked if he was OK, Chubb said he is.
“I’m ready for next week,” he said. “See me, I’m smiling, I’m with my team. I’ll be ready for next week.”
Whether Jackson will play or be suspended next week remains to be seen.
