We also have some injury and suspension news to look forward to. Heading into your draft, you’ll want the latest on these injuries and suspensions, so we’ve got my overall PPR rankings for 2026 below with a downloadable link.

Mahomes is ready to go after tearing his ACL last season. It remains to be seen how effective he will be, but we can expect a more run-heavy offense than in years past. The team is going to use Kenneth Walker as a three-down back, and he should be more effective than any back the Chiefs have thrown in recent memory.

Michael Pennix Jr., Falcons

Pennix Jr. is back at practice and we expect him to take over the starting job again as soon as he’s ready. Until then, expect Tua Tagovailoa to lead the way. Most of the reports surrounding Tuan’s game this summer have not been positive, but we expect him to maintain his short-area accuracy and get the ball to BJean Robinson and Kyle Pitts with fastballs.

Jacobs has been placed on the NFL’s free agent list to start the offseason while the domestic violence allegations are investigated in the offseason. This gives the league a wide range of options. They can keep him on the roster for the rest of the season or give him a shorter suspension of indefinite length. I see no reason to draft him at this point. Sure, he could fall to the 12th round or later and he’d probably be worth keeping, but I’d go for rookie Marshawn Lloyd.

Jeanty sprained his ankle in practice and is trying to return for Week 1. The team seems to feel good about starting RB Mike Washington, so I don’t expect them to push Jeanty at all. I might feel a little better if they were more cautious to start the season, but we’ll see where he is in the final week of practice.

Zach Charbonnet, Seahawks

Charbonnet has been placed on the PUP list which will miss at least four games. His return is unknown, but the report is mostly positive. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he returns after these four games, but it would be surprising if he emerges as a big contributor in Week 5.

Jadarian Price currently has draft capital and a leadership role, and if he can perform well on the field to start, he could help solidify his touches ahead of Charbonnet’s return.

Jeremiah Love, Cardinals

Love is reported to have a high ankle sprain, but looks like he has a 50/50 shot to play Week 1. High ankle sprains are difficult so I wouldn’t bank on that, but he didn’t start the season on PUP and we should expect him to return late. Until he returns, Tyler Algiers will lead the way.

Keaton Mitchell, fillers

Mitchell is out with an undisclosed injury. His status for Week 1 appears to be in question. He’s not on the PUP list, so they should feel confident he won’t miss four games, but until we know more, it’s hard to judge.

Jonathon Brooks and Chuba Hubbard, Panthers

Brooks is finally back after two seasons lost to injury, which is great! However, there is no clear leader between these two backs at this point, but both look relatively healthy and both should see work. The team really believes in Hubbard, so Brooks will have to play well to take back the lead.

Pacheco landed on the PUP list with a back injury and will miss at least four games. Rookie Jacob Saylors won the No. 2 RB job behind All-World Jahmir Gibbs, and Pacheco’s return isn’t set in stone, so it’s worth holding onto as a handcuff.

TreVeyon Henderson, Patriots

Henderson is dealing with an ankle injury that has kept him out of practice for two weeks. The news on his weight has not been released, but at least he is not on the PUP list. His status for Week 1 appears to be in jeopardy, but at practice on Monday, he could appear ready to go for all we know at this point.

Monangay is dealing with a knee injury that has made him a week-to-week consideration. His availability for Week 1 is in question at this point. D’Andre Swift should see a bit of an increased role, but as usual he’s already been up to the task.

A strained groin injury seems to have passed him by. His upside is huge this year, so don’t let him fall too far in your draft.

Nabers has returned to practice after recovering from an ACL injury. As long as there are no hiccups at this point, he’s on track to play Week 1, but we can’t be sure he won’t be on the countdown when he eases back in.

Igbuka is dealing with a toe injury and the team is not releasing much information. If it’s a toe, there’s cause for concern, but his training level will tell a lot next week. For now, he’s not on the PUP list and should be ready to go late, but there are some concerns there.

Tyson was not on the PUP list and will miss the first four games with a hamstring injury. I don’t want to count on him until closer to the middle of the season. His upside is great, so if you have IR space, throw him on it.

Pierce is back in practice after suffering an ankle injury this summer. This is great news as Pierce could be a big part of this Colts offense and has shown some big playmaking ability.

Evans has missed this pre-season with a hamstring injury but appears to be just as cautious now that he is back in training as the team ramps up for Wednesday’s game against Australia. He remains an injury risk, but should be solid in the 49ers offense when healthy.

Kittle has made a truly miraculous recovery from his Achilles injury earlier this year! He’s traveling with the team to Australia and could play Week 1. His age, injury and quick recovery are a bit of a concern, but if he’s there, he’s a solid starter in the imagination.

Kraft spent much longer than Kittle recovering from a knee injury he suffered last season. He should be ready to go by Week 1. If he can look close to his start last season, he has tremendous upside.
