The Pistons, Bykov and Spurs According to Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot, they added to their training camp roster by signing players on Tuesday.
Detroit signed Jordan Riley on a camp contract (Link to Twitter). The 6’4″ wing went undrafted this June out of East Carolina, where he earned first-team All-AAC honors as a senior. Riley also went through Georgetown and Temple before playing his final two college seasons with the Pirates. He averaged 23.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists last season along with 1.9 steals in 37.7 minutes per game.
Chicago brought in guards Houston briefcase and Peter Suder (Link to Twitter). Mallett played three seasons at Pepperdine, then landed at Alabama. Last season, he played in 35 games for the Crimson Tide (12 starts), averaging 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per contest. He made 37.2% of his three-point attempts during his college years.
Suder had a two-way deal with the Lakers, but that was it refused in July. Suder, undrafted out of Miami (Ohio) in June, was named the MAC Player of the Year after leading his team to a 31-0 regular season. He averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 33 games while shooting 54.6% from the field and 42.1% from three.
The Spurs added a rookie defenseman Miles Barnstabletrans Garcia. Barnstable played last season in Tulsa, starting 38 games and averaging 14.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in 30.3 minutes. Barnstable made 40.6% of his 3-point attempts.
Assuming all four players are signed Exhibition 10 deals, they will be eligible for up to $91,000 in bonuses if they play at least 60 games for their team’s G-League affiliate.
