WWE Money in the Bank 2026 closed with the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match, where six WWE Superstars battled for a chance to win a world title sometime next year. CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Penta, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams and Bron Breaker put their bodies on the line for the New Orleans crowd, and in the end it was Penta who became Mr. Money in the Bank.
All six men were running from their positions to start things off, and no one could string together any offense to take control. That was until Breaker used a series of Suplexes, Slams and ladders to take out the entire arena before being taken out by Penta, who was visibly limping. Punk got a taste of the steel ladder courtesy of Owens, but both he and Penta were taken out by the returning Breaker, and when Punk got up and tried to grab the briefcase, Owens slammed his foot into the ladder to take him out.
Breaker obliterated everyone once again, locking in a straight knee to Penta’s face before taking his offense to the outside, climbing over the guard rail and the announce table to attack Williams. Punk and Owens continued their personal feud at the same time before everyone but Evans and Breaker were in the timer area. Evans went to take everyone out, but he was blindsided by Breaker, causing the doctors to check on Evans.
In the midst of it all, Punk went for the briefcase and despite Breaker trying to interfere, Punk hit a Russian Leg Sweep off the ladder. Penta tied Punk up with a ladder for some shots, but Williams cut him off as Evans was stretchered out of the fight. Owens laid out Punk while he was tied up, which included some obvious low blows before hitting a Pop-Up Spinebuster on the ladder.
Lil Yachty tried to help Williams but got a stunner from Owens for his troubles while Evans was loaded into an ambulance backstage. Owens thought he had it but Punk was there again to take him down and Penta stopped Punk for a moment as Punk hit the GTS on Penta. Punk and Owens were both taken out by Breaker with a pair of Spears, one in the ring and one through the barricade. Just then, Evans took the ambulance back to ringside to take Breaker out of the equation, but Breaker recovered in time to push Evans off the ladder and through the roof of the ambulance. Breaker thought he had the match won, but Penta came back by hitting the Mexican Destroyer on the bridged ladder to win the match and earn a title shot.
