Costa has one fight left on his current contract and has accused the UFC of canceling his latest bout. “Borrachinha” insists the final bout of his contract should be a three-rounder, but reiterated that he is willing to accept a five-rounder if he is compensated accordingly.

Costa took to social media to present himself and the UFC’s options for his final fight. He called out the promotion’s head, Hunter Campbell, stating that he was willing to fight any light heavyweight on the roster in three rounds, and that he would gladly accept a five-round bout if he was given at least six weeks’ notice and a bonus.
“OK, I’m going to make it public and clear: I have 1 fight left,” Costa Xl wrote. “The purse is in my contract for 3 rounds, not 5. I’m asking for a 3 round fight which was already in the contract. It could be anyone on the UFC LHW roster. I think Hunter has 3 options right now: A) Give me every opponent (B) 3 give me the last one. 5 round fight at LHW in 6 weeks BUT that’s the minimum that’s fair, I hope everyone gets it understood.
Costa (16-4) is coming off a head-to-head finish Roman Kopylov and Azamat Murzakanov. He previously campaigned for an interim title fight UFC 332but it later turned out that the ad was not interested.
