Page Making Twice As Much With Misfits Than With UFC

The salary of an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter is once again in the center in recent weeks with the current middleweight champion Sean Stricklandconfirming that he has no problem moving away from the offer than him financial demands are not met.

In fact, “Tarzan” revealed that he would not want to jump into the world of boxing Zuffa stars get a bag. However, the UFC CEO quickly rejected this career move, Dana White (more about it here), who also happens to be the main guy Zuffa boxing.

Adding extra fuel to a fighter’s salary is Brendan AllenWHO agreed with Strickland’s weak salary comments after his big win at UFC Vegas 122 (watch the highlights). On that note Michael PageThe recent salary revelation doesn’t help White and Co in this heated debate.

During a recent interview Yahoo! SportsPage revealed that she is much better off financially than she surprisingly was joined forces with Misfits Boxing just one month after being cut UFC.

“Again, we had a lot of offers from a lot of different campaigns, all excited to have me on board, but all at very, very different times,” Page said of the many deals he considered. “There was an example Scott Coker and these guys, but they’re just getting started. So it’s a bad time for me right now with them because they’re just starting and they don’t have enough opponents for me.

“Then Misfits did an absolutely crazy deal, which means I’ve continued to grow and improve financially,” he added. “But then KSI is my boy and I’ve worked with the Misfits guys in the past with my teammates in their corners and my trainers work closely with them as well.”

Page added that Misfits Boxing’s overall model and future plans were another factor in why he signed with the promotion.

“So yeah, also their vision for the future and what they’re trying to do, like they want to get an MMA show going and I’m going to be the face of that,” he revealed. “There’s a lot of excitement and a better payday too.”

As for how much more he’ll earn with Misfits Boxing, Page didn’t reveal an exact amount; but he revealed that he’s making a whopping seven figures per fight, more than double what he’s making with the UFC … for fewer fights.

“I mean, I left the UFC and I’m making more money, like twice as much in a shorter period of time,” Page explained. “It’s three fights, those three fights I’m making more than I made my entire UFC contract. So that’s nice. I’ve put in a lot of work throughout my career to help build my name to where it is now.

“So yes, I feel I deserve it and I’m grateful to be in this position,” he concluded.

Page made his UFC debut in 2024to beat Kevin Holland at UFC 299 and posted a 5-1 record. Despite five consecutive victories, UFC officials decided not to extend his contract and let him walk. While Page was disappointed to see how he felt he left a lot of big fights on the table, he no longer feels limited creatively by the UFC.

“Like I said there, I feel unchained,” Page said. “I’m a very creative person — my exits, entrances, exits — and I wasn’t allowed to do that. And I feel like here they’re literally like, ‘Look, we want you to be yourself.’ It helps me be my best self.”

“It’s a shame for me, I just feel like the UFC can do a lot more for the fighters,” Page added. “Whether you like them, hate them, they’re the biggest fight show in terms of MMA. So you have to give them credit, there’s some ridiculously talented fighters out there.

“But I went out there and was Top 10 in two divisions, called everybody out, got no feedback,” Page concluded. “Again, (I) felt very limited, so it’s a shame because I felt like there were more fights, big fights that could be had. But here I feel free. Big fights, big names that are out, that are away from other shows, it’s all happening.”
