· Atlanta: Michael Penix – In nine games last year, Penix threw nine touchdowns to three interceptions and the Falcons went 3-6. Penix averaged 220.2 passing yards per game (1,982) with four games of 241 or more yards. Atlanta averaged 20.5 points per game with him compared to 22.5 with him Kirk Cousins (5-2 record). If you take out the two poor starts against Penix, he would have had nine touchdowns to one interception over seven starts and the offense would have averaged 22.5 points per game. One factor to look at is its accuracy. Penix completed 59.8% of his passes outdoors, compared to 67.4% indoors. His completion percentage dropped even more on the road, going from 69% at home to 53.8% away from Atlanta.
· Green Bay: Jordan Love – Through two games, Jordan Love has thrown a combined four touchdowns against the Jets and Vikings, but in very different ways. Against Minnesota, Love threw for 387 yards on 21-of-42 (50%), which was two shy of his career high, which was also set against the Vikings. However, against the Jets, Love threw for 145 yards and completed 16 of his 29 passes (55.2%). Last year, Love completed a career-high 66.3% of his passes, the third-most yards (3,381) and the third-most touchdowns (23).
