Olivia Miles sprained her left ankle in the fourth quarter of the Minnesota Lynx’s 77-66 win against the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday night.

Defensively, she stepped on teammate Napheese Collier’s leg and rolled her ankle. She limped to the sideline, where she sat on the court in pain for several minutes.

Miles — the runaway favorite for WNBA Rookie of the Year and MVP candidate — eventually limped to the bench under her own power, but did not return. Head coach said Cheryl Reeve after the game that Miles “twisted” her ankle. Miles seemed positive during her postgame media availability and smiled despite limping slightly.

She finished with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting with seven assists, two steals and two blocks in 30 minutes.
