August 5: Nuggets agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the free agent Lonnie Walker IVShams Charania reports for ESPN (via Twitter). This will be a minimum salary contract for Walker, who will earn $3,286,399 while Denver tops out at $2,449,421.

Walker is an athletic 6-foot-4 linebacker who will help add depth to Denver’s backfield after a loss Tim Hardaway Jr and Jalen Pickett this summer.
The 27-year-old from the University of Miami played for Maccabi Tel Aviv last season, his first full year out of the league after being drafted 18th overall by the Spurs in 2018.
Walker averaged 15.2 points per game on .394/.351/.758 shooting in EuroLeague play for Maccabi during the 2025/26 season. He shot the ball better in 13 games in the Israeli league, averaging 15.6 ppg with a .507 FG% and .407 3PT%.
Walker was technically still under contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, and his deal included an NBA opt-out deadline of July 15, but the team was willing to let him go despite Denver’s offer only coming in August. tweets Mark Stein of The Stein Line. A report last weekend revealed that he and his Euroleague club are going to part ways.
Over the past five NBA seasons, Walker has averaged 11.3 points in 22.4 minutes per night while shooting 35.2% from deep. He most recently played 20 games for the Sixers in the 2024/25 season, averaging a career-high 12.4 points per game.
