Nick Wayne Scores Second Win Over Chris Jericho At AEW WrestleDream 2026

Nick Wayne was very proud of the fact that he defeated Chris Jericho at the French edition of the AEW Collision Grand Slam, but AEW WrestleDream 2026he hoped that lightning would strike twice. After a match that saw Mardi Gras beads, trophies and plenty of Low Blows, fans can once again say that Nick Wayne has defeated Chris Jericho.

Jericho first beat Wayne into a turnbuckle, sending Wayne into the steel steps and into the crowd. He was so proud of his work that he gave Mardi Gras beads to Paul White on commentary and even used the photographer’s camera to take a selfie. However, the tide turned as he landed a few punches in the corner, only to be kicked off the top rope, allowing Wayne to hit the Moonsault.

Wayne controlled the match for a striking period, but it was short-lived as Jericho fought back to hit the Big Lariat after missing the Judas Effect, and avoided the kick for a nearfall in the codebreaker. An exchange of strikes led to the Running Bulldog, but after Jericho lost his leg going for the Lionsault, Wayne looked to land a Senton Bomb to no avail. Instead, Jericho hit a crossbody to the outside.

Jericho took a long time as Wayne hit the corner to take control, hit some corner kicks and went for the Avalanche hurricanrana, but Jericho cut him off in mid-movement with a Powerbomb for a two count, and when Wayne kicked out, he took it to the Walls of Jericho, which Wayne was able to escape. Wayne rolled to the outside for water, which he spat in Jericho’s face to buy him some time to put Chopped Bread on the apron before hitting the 450 Splash back into the ring for another near fall.

Wayne hit a modified Wayne’s World, which Jericho kicked out of one, which resulted in Jericho being locked in the Walls of Jericho again, but as Wayne came out, he was catapulted into the corner. Wayne tried to hit Jericho with a Low Blow, but Jericho was carrying a trophy, which he then used to take Wayne down. However, this was his downfall as he missed the Judas Effect as Wayne fell, and was caught in a streak where Wayne would win.
