Nick Nemeth defeated Matt Hardy to retain the TNA World Championship on “TNA Impact”.
Nemeth was defending his title in a No Disqualification match after Hardy accused him of hospitalizing Jeff Hardy. a couple of weeks ago.
Hardy took the fight right back to Nemeth, taking the champion to ringside and pulling the table from under the ring. He proceeded to drive Nemet into the ring post, placing the table against the apron. Then he put Nemeth through it with a suplex.
Hardy threw a steel chair into the ring and pulled out a second table, breaking it apart in the ring before picking up a few more chairs, placing one in the ring and using the other to attack Nemeth’s midsection. He returned and removed the third table and set it up on the outside of the ring.
Nemeth set up a table in the corner and looked to put Hardy through it, but instead rammed into him. The first punch didn’t break it, so Hardy rode him a second time and delivered the Twist of Fate, going through what was sure to be the winning cover.
Ryan Nemeth took the referee out of the ring for breaking the count, getting wiped out for his efforts. Hardy returned to the ring and delivered another Twist of Fate, but Nemeth got his foot on the bottom rope. Hardy put Ryan Nemet through a table on the outside before returning to the ring again.
Nemeth hit a low blow and went for the cover, but Hardy kicked out at two. He then hit Hardy with a wrench to the head, knocking him out and setting up the cover for the winning pinfall.
