The NFL is back for Week 6 as the playoff picture slowly begins to take shape. The playoffs are getting closer and closer to Thanksgiving, but we’re starting to see teams either put themselves out of contention or reach a point where they can rebuild.
Some unexpected contenders include the Raiders in the AFC and the Browns and Giants in the NFC. The 49ers, Chiefs and Vikings are all sitting undefeated and in good shape heading into Week 6. On the other end of things, the Texans and Chargers are struggling in the AFC, while the Buccaneers, Cowboys, Eagles and Rams are all competing in the NFC.
This week opens with a significant interconference matchup between the Seahawks and Broncos. Thursday night football. Sunday brings Ravens-Browns and Bills-Raiders with some unexpected early playoff implications. The week ends with Cowboys-Packers Sunday night football And the Commanders-49ers at Monday night football. This week’s breaks include the Bengals, Dolphins, Lions and Vikings.
Being completely mediocre, I’m back for another week’s selection. Last week I went 7-7-1 and stayed tight at .500. I managed 2-1 on high confidence picks and 3-0-1 on my mid-range picks, but 2-6 on low confidence picks sank me.
Just to remind you that I pick games with winners and losers, but I also offer a level of confidence. I pick the winner of each game and rank the picks based on their confidence level – high, medium, low and no. A game with three asterisks (***) indicates a game in which I will select the bet to win. Whether or not you have to assign confidence points, this will help you know where I stand with the polls. And within each group, I ordered them by confidence level.
And also, I’m a 49ers fan, so you have to take that pick every week with a grain of salt.
