The documentary appears to be true. The “tell all” part? We’ll believe it when we see it.
Netflix is reportedly producing an untitled documentary centered around the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) executive Dana Whitewhereas the premiere of the project should initially take place in the first quarter of 2027.
Accordingly Page Six Hollywoodthe documentary was originally conceived as a film about Las Vegas before it evolved into the story of White and his rise to become one of the most influential leaders in combat sports.
The project reportedly follows White’s role in persuasion Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta was purchased by the UFC for $2 million in 2015, followed 15 years later by its sale to an ownership group led by Endeavor for $4 billion.
Film maker Gotham Chopra is said to be directing the documentary. Chopra has extensive experience with high-profile athletes, having worked on such projects in the past Tom Brady, LeBron James and Stephen Curry. Chopra declined to comment on White’s documentary when contacted by Page Six.
Netflix reportedly greenlit the project while the streaming giant was in talks to acquire the UFC’s new broadcast package. Those rights eventually went to Paramount as part of a seven-year deal worth $7.7 billion, but Netflix continued to move forward with the documentary.
Recent footage such as UFC Freedom 250 at the White House and White’s continued expansion into professional boxing through Zuffa Boxing with Saudi Powerbroker is also expected to be included. Turki Aalshikh.
Whether it really “tells all” remains unclear.
Neither Netflix nor the UFC have officially announced the documentary, and there’s no indication if White is collaborating on the production or has creative control (though he likely will). The report also wouldn’t confirm whether the film will explore the more controversial aspects of White’s career, including her highly advertised games of chancerelationship with the president Donald Trumpfrequent media fights and A video from 2022 showing him slapping his wife during the dispute.
At this stage, the confirmed subject sounds more like a career retrospective than an unauthorized reveal — and if you need a refresher on his career … check out any recent interview with White.
That could certainly change if Netflix releases a trailer or synopsis, but calling it a “tell all” might be premature.
Dana White’s documentary currently has no official title or release date.
