MVP head speaks on Jake Paul return schedule, Netflix rupture reports

Jake Paul continues to fight, be it on Netflix or elsewhere.

That’s the word from Most Valuable Promotions co-founder and CEO Nakisa Bidarian, who came out this morning (Thursday, Oct. 22) to address rumors that MVP has time to work with Netflix. was up.

“Jake Paul Update: We are actively negotiating with four potential opponents for Jake to return to boxing in late 2026/early 2027,” Bidarian wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Based on the opponent, we determine location and spread.”

Paul recently shared a new hit list of opponents he wants to face including Canelo Alvarez, Francis Ngannou and Conor McGregor. The only one of the three who seems interested in fighting Jake is Ngannou, who has been trying to prove that he is a legitimate draw.

MVP has previously worked with Netflix four times, starting their relationship with Jake Paul and Mike Tyson back in November 2024, then doing the network’s Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3. Followed by Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua and MVP MVP Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano.

MVP gave Netflix big numbers and Netflix gave MVP big checks. The relationship seemed fine … until then Netflix fired half of its executives after quarterly reports showed a slowdown in growth that caused alarm among investors. Now, many of the top people MVP worked with are gone, and according to insider reports, MVP’s network access is compromised.

On the other side of the coin, other reports say that Netflix plans to do so to expand its sports offer and special one-off events. The new hires at the top of Netflix’s content pipeline are only a few days away, so it’s a little early to tell what anyone will do.

The push for combat sports advertising certainly didn’t put all of its eggs in the Netflix basket. They have hosted events with DAZN, ESPN and Sky Sports. Bidarian is a former UFC executive who led advertising sales for IMG/Endeavor in 2016. Of all the suits in the sport that talk the big game, his is the one that actually delivers these days.

But it would certainly be easier to execute any MVP plans with Jake Paul and their new MMA division with Netflix on the list of potential partners.
