The Hornets have made a series of roster changes affecting their 21-man pre-season squad, announcing today that they have withdrawn Wyatt Fricks and signed by the security guard Dajuan Gordon (Twitter references), then waived Gordon to sign the guard Latrell Wrightsell (Twitter references).
Gordon, who was undrafted out of UT Arlington in 2024, spent most of the last two years in the G League. He played 34 games for the Noblesville Boom in 2025-26, averaging 12.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 27.6 minutes per game and a .523/.456/.657 mark.
Wrightsel, a 6-foot-3 guard, went undrafted out of Alabama earlier this year. He is a prolific three-point shooter who shot 36% on 7.8 attempts per game last season. He also averaged 13.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 27.3 minutes per game for the Crimson Tide before agreeing to terms with the Hornets. in June.
Including Freex’s deal with Charlotte Exhibition 10 language, and it’s safe to assume that Gordon and Wrightsel are too. The Hornets likely believe all three players will suit up this fall for the Greensboro Swarm, who recently purchased Gordon returns trade rights to Boom.
