Mike Evans is new to the rivalry between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks, but somehow he has one of the best trash talks in the recent history of this matchup. Seattle defensive end Trevon Diggs was talking to Evans during the first half of their Week 5 matchup when he responded with a nuclear option. As Diggs rants, Evans responds by checking Juju’s back to send a clear message: I don’t even know who you are, and I don’t care what you say.
Diggs has an eight-year pro streak that led the NFL in interceptions in 2021 with the Dallas Cowboys, but he’s not on Evans’ level. This is one of the most disrespectful things I’ve ever seen on an NFL field. It reminds me of when Aqib Talib rips Michael Crabtree’s chain off his neck.. The combination of sarcasm and comic timing is perfect here. Watch Evans’ creative smack talk here:
The fact that Diggs isn’t exactly anonymous makes this even funnier. Evans actually asked, “Who are you?” He hit him. before going to work.
Evans is having a monster game for the 49ers, which makes this even more so. He’s over 100 yards and scores the first touchdown of the game. Evans is 33 years old, an age when most receivers have declined, but he still feels as great as ever.
Seahawks-49ers games are always fun, and trash talk like this makes it even better.
