LSU finalizes roster, preventing the addition of two former NFL players

LSU is apparently dropping its fight to add two fifth-year players signed by NFL teams from joining the Tigers football team.

According to multiple reports, LSU added two players to the school’s roster. The addition of Aiden Anding and Gabriel Reliford completes the school’s roster to 105 players.

It comes days after a Baton Rouge judge ruled Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris eligible. Wright signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent, joined the Browns after being waived by Philadelphia and then cut by Cleveland. Harris signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent before being waived by the team.

The attorney for the Louisiana plaintiffs, Ryan Downton, said Wright and Harris are considering legal options.

It’s not yet known whether the SEC will rescind a possible vote Thursday to expel LSU from the conference, which would require 11 schools in favor.
