Update Lamar Jackson It is now purchased On the sidelines for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Previously: The Baltimore Ravens will “probably” be without star quarterback Lamar Jackson for the second straight week.
Jackson, who sprained his left ankle in Baltimore’s Oct. 4 win over the Tennessee Titans, was absent from Friday’s practice session for the media during the Ravens’ game against the Cleveland Browns over the weekend. Jackson did not practice this week, a sign that Tyler Huntley is in line to start his second straight game.
In an early October game against the Titans, Huntley completed 8-of-9 passes for 63 yards in relief of Jackson, helping the Baltimore Salt walk away with a 24-18 victory. Huntley got the start for the Ravens on Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons, completing 24-of-32 passes for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Ravens’ 30-23 overtime win.
Huntley started the season finale against the Green Bay Packers a year ago, leading Baltimore to a 41-24 victory at Lambeau Field. As Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley noted above, in his last three starts for the Ravens — all wins — Huntley and the offense have averaged more than 33 points.
Our own Doug Farrar named Huntley one of his “AFC Secret Superstars” after his performance against the Falcons.
