Kyle Fletcher has already proven that he can outplay Will Ospreay in the past, which is why e. Fright Night Edition “AEW Dynamite”, he kicked out a challenge for the AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear 2026.
Fletcher picked up a hard-fought victory over “The Jungle” Jack Perry before being joined by Mark Davis and Jake Doyle, who themselves will challenge the Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear. Fletcher noted that he wanted Full Gear to be a perfect night for Don Kallis’ family before reminding everyone that not only did he beat the current AEW World Champion in the past, but he actually beat Ospreay at the Full Gear pay-per-view two years ago. Looking for lightning to strike twice, Fletcher dared Osprey to put the title on the line at this year’s event and promised that if they faced off again, it would end the way their 2024 match did, with Fletcher raising his hand.
The match was made official shortly after, marking the first time since AEW Revolution 2025 that Ospreay and Fletcher had faced each other. That match took place in the Steel Cage and Osprey won, although a lot has changed in Los Angeles since that night. The two men will actually lock in the cage before Full Gear, as they will both compete in a men’s Blood and Guts match on the November 4 episode of AEW Dynamite. Fletcher will be reunited with the rest of his Don Callis family, while Osprey will be taking on The Young Bucks, Adam Copeland, Darby Allin and the recently returned Stephen Borden, who could play a big role in the Full Gear title match, as neither Osprey nor Fletcher will be 100% going into their title match.
