The Nix sign a free agent center Drew Eubanks on a one-year non-guaranteed contract, Stefan Bondi of the New York Post tweets They also signed a big man Liam Robbins to Annex 10 of the contract, PR-department of the team tweets.
Also signed by the Knicks Jayden Akins, Nick Jourdain, Mitch Mascari, Toby Okani, Igor Milichich and Pavel Zhilinskas put up 10 contracts and then give them up, according to the team (Twitter references found here).
Nix also agreed on contract with wing John Kanchar on Tuesday, so it’s possible Eubanks and Kanchar will battle for the 14th roster spot, although Kanchar was coveted by opposing teams and could be at least partially guaranteed.
New York interest in Eubanks was reported earlier this month.
A 6’10” center who played college ball at Oregon State, Eubanks spent the last eight years in the NBA with San Antonio, Portland, Phoenix, Utah, the Clippers and the Kings. He spent the 2025-26 campaign with Sacramento, averaging 5.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.6 blocks in 13.1 minutes per game.
The 29-year-old big man battled injuries last season, making just 42 appearances. He suffered an avulsion fracture in the thumb of the left hand in December, and later the torn ulnar collateral ligament of the same finger. It took that second injury that Eubanks suffered in March season-ending surgery.
Robbins was signed and waived by Portland last offseason. He spent last season with Remix, the Blazers’ G-League franchise. Robbins played in 32 games, averaging 8.5 points and 5.1 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game. He appeared in five games with the Knicks’ Summer League team this July.
Robbins appears to be a candidate for a two-way spot. The Knicks have all three.
The Westchester Knicks, their NBA G League club, recently acquired the rights to Akins, Milicic Jr. and Mascari, Ian Begli of SNY tweets. Žilinskas and Jourdain played for Westchester last season, while Ocani was on the Knicks’ Summer League roster.
The Appendix 10 contracts will give those six players the opportunity to earn up to $91,000 in bonuses on top of their G League base salaries if they spend at least 60 days in Westchester.
