Count veteran is a great man Tony Bradley among free agents at Nixradar before training camp, Ian Begley of SNY.tv reports in a post article.
They ran reported earlier which New York was watching Drew Eubanks and John Kanchar while the team continues to evaluate how to fill their final roster spots. Barring a cost-cutting move, the Knicks are expected to have just 14 players (plus three on a two-way deal) to open the 2026/27 campaign.
Bradley, the 28th pick in the 2017 draft, is an eight-year NBA veteran who spent about half of the 2025-26 season with Indiana. He finished last season with the Hawks, who were looking for depth at center after an ankle injury Jock Landale.
In 41 games last season, Bradley averaged 4.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.0 minutes per contest. The 28-year-old has career averages of 4.3 PPG and 3.8 RPG with 11.0 MPG in 234 regular season games.
Currently only in Knicks Karl-Anthony Towns in Andre Drummond by five, but Begley hears they are very confident in the duo as they look to defend their title.

- In the same mailbag, Begley reports that the team is in regular contact Miles McBrideagents this offseason. However, Begley expressed skepticism that an extension agreement will be reached as McBride has significantly outlived his current contract and the Knicks’ payroll will continue to be very expensive going forward. The 2021 second-round pick averaged a career-high 12.0 points while shooting 41.3% from three-point range (6.6 attempts per game) in 41 regular season games last season (26.0 mpg).
- While several teams would be interested in McBride if the Knicks moved him into trade talks, that hasn’t happened yet, Begley wrote. However, McBride is expiring and Begley suggests they could eventually try to move him to avoid losing him for nothing in free agency.
