Kevin Owens defeated CM Punk in the No Holds Barred main event of WWE SmackDown.
Owens entered the match with a 0-1 record against Punk after them WWE Championship match in Augustand started it accordingly. The action soon moved into the crowd as Owens battered Punk against the steps and stood all over him, specifically targeting the neck and back.
Eventually, the fight returned to ringside, with each competitor trading the advantage before battling it out on the entrance ramp. Punk drove Owens into the stage’s LED board, delivering the GTS and rolling him over the trolley into the ring.
Punk landed an elbow off the barricade to send Owens through the announcer’s desk and re-entered the ring to wrap a steel chain around the knee for a loaded GTS. He didn’t make it, but was able to press Owens into the steel chairs and was sent flying through the tables on the outside from the apron shortly after.
Owens got the stunner back inside the ring, though it didn’t win. He decided to wrap the steel chain around his fist and hit Punk with it. Punk saw this coming, hoisted him onto his shoulders and delivered the GTS. But Owens bounced off the ropes and came back with a chained haymaker, collapsing on Punk for the winning cover.
