Josh Hokit claims Tom Aspinall is exaggerating his eye injury to get out of his UFC contract
Hokit claims Aspinall is exaggerating the severity of his eye injury. The undefeated American suggested that Aspinall is looking to get out of his UFC contract and speculated that he could try to get into boxing profitably instead.
“Honestly, I don’t even believe this shit is real,” Hokit told Ariel Helwan. “I think he has his teammates fart on the pillow, then he goes to sleep, gets pink eye, and posts stuff on Instagram like, ‘Hey, everybody, feel sorry for me. I can’t fight yet.” He’s got fake surgery, all that shit. I think he’s just trying to get out of his deal, if I’m being 100% honest… This shit is fake, gang. It’s not real. I don’t know if he’s paying the doctors, but I think he’s trying to get the bag in boxing.
Meanwhile, Gane (14-2) has emerged as the undisputed champion after dropping the title to Aspinall. The Frenchman defends his title against Hokit (9-0). UFC 334 November 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
