Josh Alexander talked about Pac’s emotional tribute show “AEW Dynamite:“And how did it feel to wrestle Bryan Danielson?
Danielson returned to the ring on the September 30 episode of Dynamite, where he reunited with The Death Riders against the Don Callis family for their main event clash. Alexander revealed that Danielson was the one who told him he was going to wrestle that night.
“I mean, it was Wednesday afternoon. Brian actually approached me. He said hello and said. “Have you heard about the game?” I go, “No.” And he says: And I said: “Okay.” And in my head I was like, I knew Mox was already wrestling and I was just like, “Who’s the other guy?” And he says: “Oh, it’s me,” she said.Post wrestling“And I just left, and then I went. “Wow, what? You said you were in the game. He’s like, “Yeah.” And I went. “Okay.” And he just starts laughing.”
Alexander was happy to be sharing the ring with Bryan Danielson, but sad at the same time as he and the rest of the locker room told the stories of Pac and another recently deceased star, Andy Williams. Wrestling in the tribute show, Alexander said, was awesome for him and many others in the AEW locker room, and he thought it was a great way to honor Pac’s memory.
“And then this one thing happens and I was just like, and then I turned to Brian and I was like, this is the weirdest moment of my life. I never thought this would happen. Thank you,” he added. “It’s pathetic for us to go out and do what we love to do and that we know the dead man loved to do and try to honor himself.”
The recent death of his peers also reminded him to take pictures with those he loves and also to say he loves them, which he did on the set of “Dynamite”.
