Jones defeated Reyes by unanimous decision in the finals
Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion in 2020. The result is still controversial, with many observers believing that Reyes deserved to win. Reyes brought this fight up by criticizing Daniel Cormier’s commentary, drawing a response from “Bones.”
Dominick Reyes Criticizes Daniel Cormier After UFC 333 Relaunches His Feud With Jon Jones
Reyes stopped Azamat Murzakanov at
UFC 333 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. The “Destroyer” was then blamed. Daniel Cormier biased commentary and referenced Cormier’s rivalry with Jones.
Reyes claimed that Jones had not beaten him convincingly, contrasting their fight with Jones’ performances against Cormier. Jones officially has one win over Cormier; his knockout victory in their rematch was overturned due to a failed drug test.
After a fan relayed Reyes’ comments, Jones responded with a sarcastic message of sympathy.
“Send this to her, I’ll give you a virtual hug,” Jones wrote to X. “I hope one day you will recover from such a defeat. Shut up, but not the cigar. Sweat more, pass it on to the next generation.”

Send it to him, I’ll give you a virtual hug. I hope one day you will recover from such a defeat. Close, but not the cigar. Sweat more, pass it on to the next generation.
