Browns defensive end Jared Verse was not flagged for a hit Sunday in which he landed the top of his helmet on the side of Jets quarterback Geno Smith’s helmet. The Jets were not happy about it.
Jets coach Aaron Glenn was seen yelling at the officials about it during the game, and Smith then took to social media to try to get the NFL’s attention about it.
or post to Smith’s Instagram stories simply included a photo of Verse’s helmet slamming into Smith’s face and tagged @NFL so the league could see.
The officials on the field didn’t see it, but the league office certainly did. It would be shocking if Verse isn’t fined.
