Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered another injury to his left elbow at halftime of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
With the Chiefs facing 3rd-and-goal at the Dallas 5-yard line and time running out, Dan Quinn kept the offense on the field to give the Cowboys a 17-10 lead. Daniels started the game in the middle and looked like he was trying to arm himself when he used his left hand to drop the linemen in front of him.

After the game, Daniels struggled to his feet before returning to the field at AT&T Stadium. Finally the cart is pulled out for Daniel and he is taken off the field, with his left hand in the air:
The injury was painful to watch in the replays, when Tom Brady let a telling slip happen while watching himself replay the game on FOX Sports. We’re not including that replay here, but you can watch the replay to see the damage if you want.
Daniels missed the second half of the 2025 season after dislocating the same left arm. After suffering an early injury in Week 9, he continued on the road for Week 14, but Daniels re-injured his elbow and was sidelined for the rest of the season.
Update As one would expect, Marcus Mariota was with the offense to open the second half. Daniel is officially out of the race.
