Hope Rogers makes history every time she steps on the court USA Women’s Eagles.

After surpassing Jamie Burke’s previous record of 51 caps in May 2025, the loosehead prop has since taken her tally to 69, her latest appearance coming in the 55-12 defeat of the USA by England at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Hot on the heels of a WXV Global Series campaign that brought a pair of victories against Italy, as well as victories against Wales and Ireland, Rogers was named 19th RugbyPass Top 50.

The loss ended USA’s five-match unbeaten streak, which included a streak unprecedented for the program in two decades.

Just to add a few more facts about Rogers’ importance to the Eagles, she is four points away from being her team’s all-time leading scorer. The 33-year-old is the only Eagle to ever be named in the World Rugby Women’s Dream Team of the Year for 15 years. A bona fide icon of sports in the USA.

And, on top of that, he still loves Test rugby.

“I love it,” Rogers said RugbyPass at Sports Illustrated Stadium. “We have reached great limits in terms of performance, many of our training sessions are more difficult than matches.

“We have a genuine love for each other as teammates. I absolutely love being an Eagle and I’m glad my body is holding up so I can keep going – another World Cup would be fantastic.”

Its head coach, Jack Hanratty, was equally impressed, taking charge of the Eagles for the first time this year.

“She wants to be the best in the world every day,” Hanratty said. “She really works. Her poach technique is amazing. She wants to be a playmaker because she can make carry meters. She’s an incredibly skilled athlete. She takes huge pride in the scrum.”

“I think the good thing about her this year is she’s been excited to play the way we try to play rugby. She’s articulate. She’s got emotional intelligence. She really cares about the team. She wants to win. That was clear from my first phone call with her.

“Here’s an athlete that some might describe as being in the later stages of her career, but she still wants to get better. She wants what’s best for the program.”
