Burroughs took on Magomed Kurbanaliev in a wrestling match at the Moscow RAF. Burroughs took less than 90 seconds to defeat Kurbanaliev 10-0 via technical fall and then called for a wrestling match in Russia with Makhachov.

“Islam, where are you? Hey, I came to your country, your capital, and fell from the technique of one of your champions. I’m coming back to Russia soon, and the only person I want to share the stage with is Islam.”
Makhachov congratulated Burroughs on his victory, calling him a legend. The Dagestanis agreed to a match against Burroughs, but inside a cage, possibly referring to an MMA match.
“Congratulations on the victory legend,” wrote Makhachov. “In the cage, anywhere anytime.”
While many active UFC fighters including Khamzat Chimaev, Arman Tsarukyan and Sean Bradyhas competed in the RAF, Makhachov has not had a wrestling or submission match during his UFC run.
