Forward Dominic Barlow met with a specialist on Tuesday to evaluate a back injury that has prevented him from adjusting to the game Sixers this fall. Head coach Nick Nurse told reporters on Wednesday that Barlow “there’s still a little bit of time to wait,” but the team is pretty confident that his injury is improving (Link to Twitter via Derek Bodner of PHLY Sports).
According to Bodner, the nurse estimated Barlow would need another 10 to 12 days before he would be cleared to practice at the site. That suggests the 23-year-old, who will be an unrestricted free agent next summer, will likely be out for at least another couple of weeks.
The official designation for Barlow’s injury is a stress reaction in the lower back. He was previously diagnosed with a stress reaction of the lumbar spine.
