Igor Cavalcanti earns a UFC contract in his second DWCS appearance
In his second appearance at the DWCS, the action kicked off at a chaotic pace, with both fighters immediately looking to land damaging strikes. Cavalcanti finally found the mark with a powerful right hand that sent Ravello to the canvas.
Ravello managed to survive the initial attack and continued to fire back, trying to stay in the fight. Cavalcanti, however, kept up the pressure and was repeatedly connected with ground strikes. Judge Kevin MacDonald finally stepped in to stop the match after 98 seconds. The win gave Cavalcanti his first DWCS victory since coming up short in his previous appearance in 2024.
“First of all, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity,” Cavalcanti said in his post-fight interview. “You know, to breathe and be able to fight and do what we love… We’re fighters, we love to fight.”
