The Hornets gave up a shooting guard No Mbengoannounced the team (via Twitter).
Charlotte signed former Yale shooting guard earlier this month, reportedly in an Exhibit 10 deal, though his G League rights are still controlled by the Sioux City Skyforce, meaning the Hornets’ G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm, would have to trade for him in order for the 23-year-old to become eligible for up to a $91,000 bonus.
The 6-foot-4 guard played 15 games for the Jazz last season as a rookie, averaging 8.1 points, 4.1 assists to just 1.5 turnovers and 2.3 steals, though he shot just 19.4% from three and 64.0% from the line.
