September 24: The Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) has officially unveiled its new digital platform, “EPO My Football”, which is a major step towards modernizing the administration and communication of Greek football.
Speaking about the importance of the project, EPO President Makis Gagatsis emphasized that the platform represents a practical leap forward for the federation’s modernization efforts.
“The credibility of an administration is not judged only by what it advertises. It is judged by what it ultimately delivers,” Gagatsis noted, stressing that technology serves as a tool to bring the federation closer to the soccer community.
The “EPO My Football” platform establishes a new operational and communication bridge connecting EPO with local football associations, clubs, athletes, coaches, referees, parents and all stakeholders active in Greek football.
During his speech, Gagatsis expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou and the Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Ioannis Vroutsis for their crucial contributions to the implementation of the project. He also particularly congratulated EPO Vice President Nikos Tzortzoglou, praising his initial idea and persistence in carrying out the initiative.
Deputy Minister Vroutsis congratulated the EPO on the initiative, stressing that “EPO My Football” will contribute significantly to transparency, connectivity and improving the functioning of amateur football. The Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou, also sent a celebratory message expressing his congratulations on the successful deployment of the platform.
In his remarks, Nikos Tzortzoglou, the driving force behind the concept during years of effort, thanked the EPO President for accepting the vision, as well as the team that worked on the development of the platform.
