The Hawks signed a free agent contract Will Bakerin a team press release.
While the terms of the deal have not been disclosed, the 25-year-old almost certainly got it Exhibition 10 contract with the Hawks.
Baker, out of LSU in 2024, spent the last two seasons in the G League with the Iowa Wolves in 2024-25 and Osceola magic in 25/26
Center 6’11”, Baker averaged 9.5 points and 6.2 rebounds on .625/.375/.712 shooting in 43 games (18.6 minutes per game) with NBAGL affiliate Orlando last season. He last played for the Magic’s Summer League team in Las Vegas two months ago.
An Annex 10 contract, which can be converted to a two-way deal, is not guaranteed and does not count against the salary cap unless the player makes the regular season roster, at which point it essentially becomes a typical non-guaranteed contract. The 10-trade addition entitles a player to a bonus of up to $91,000 (in addition to his regular NBAGL salary) if he opts out of trades before the start of the season and spends at least 60 days with his team’s affiliate club, in this case the College Park Skyhawks.
The Hawks now have 20 players under contract, one short of the offseason limit of 21.
