October 12: Roughly three and a half months after it was initially reported, Cleveland’s Amendment 10 deal with the Grizzlies has been officially finalized, the team announced today in a press release (Link to Twitter).
June 26: Undrafted rookie, free agent Zach Cleveland signs Exhibition 10 contract with Art Grizzliesaccording to the Liberty men’s basketball team (Link to Twitter).
Cleveland, a 6’7″ forward, spent all four years of his collegiate career with the Flames and has been a starter since his sophomore season in 2023-24. He was named the 2025-26 Conference USA Player of the Year after averaging 11.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in 34.9 minutes per contest in 33 games.
As those numbers show, Cleveland isn’t a big scorer, but he’s a jack of all trades who does a lot of things well. Placing the wing 68th in his draft picks, Sam Vetzeny of The Athletic described Cleveland as “wildly athletic” and praised his passing, but noted that he needs to develop a more reliable shot.
In his collegiate career at Liberty, Cleveland took just 36 three-pointers and made just four of them, for an 11.1% success rate.
The Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed training camp contract that allows a player to earn a bonus of up to $91,000 if he is waived before the start of the season and then spends at least 60 days with his team’s G-League affiliate. It can also be turned into a two-way trade before opening.
