Glover Teixeira believes Yousri Belgarouigrowing confidence on the ground can help him overcome this Caio Borralho as the Dutch middleweight prepares for his fourth
Ultimate Fighting Championship appearance.
Belgaroui enters the match after winning his first three UFC fights by TKO. He meets Borralho at UFC 334 on Nov. 14, giving him a chance to make that start against an established contender.

Belgaroui’s head coach Teixeira said his fighter’s willingness to spend extra time wrestling and practicing jiu-jitsu has been central to his development.
“Yousri trains a lot and picks things up very quickly. And he likes to train on the ground. Sometimes we stop training, everyone is tired, and he grabs someone with wrestling or jiu-jitsu and rolls for another 20 minutes,” Teixeira said.
The match will test whether Belgaroui can combine his striking skills with the improvements described by the coach. Teixeira, who will release a book based on his life in December titled Breaking the Rules, cited control of his distance and increased comfort on the ground as reasons for his confidence.
“One step at a time. Caio is undoubtedly one of the biggest challenges in the division, but Yousri has an impressive sense of distance and is getting more and more confident in his fight. There is no doubt that he is becoming a complete MMA fighter and he is very well prepared for this fight,” said Teixeira.
Borralho brings significantly more UFC experience to the contest. He won Reinier de Ridder in March with a unanimous decision.
For Belgaroui, this bout offers an opportunity to strengthen his position in the middleweight division. Teixeira’s assessment focuses on the work behind his finishes, particularly his commitment to developing the necessary ground skills against more experienced opposition.
