The team also worked out Yannick Ngakoue and Julian Owkara on Monday.
Smoot, 31, entered the NFL as a third-round pick of the Jaguars in 2017. He spent his first eight seasons there before going to the Bills in 2024. Smoot returned to the Jaguars last season.
He appeared in all 17 games last season, totaling 23 tackles, five quarterback hits and two sacks.
In his career, Smoot has played in 127 games with 21 career starts and has 27 sacks.
