Gianni Infantino will run for re-election as FIFA president next March.
Infantino has been under pressure to resign after he tried to sell a stake in FIFA tournaments to private investors.
He has refused to resign and is likely to face a challenger in a vote to be held at the FIFA Congress in Morocco next year.
Candidates who want to challenge Infantino must declare their intention to run by November 18.
FIFA spokesman: “The FIFA president announced in April that he will stand for re-election in 2027. Of course, nothing has changed. Mr Infantino will stand for re-election.”
Infantino has been attacked by FIFA vice-presidents in Asia, Europe and North America.
Last month, European countries withdrew their threat to boycott FIFA competitions after receiving “guarantees that such attempts to deface the game in this way will never be made again”.
However, European football’s governing body continues to lead a global effort to force Mr. Infantino from power.
Infantino has used the trips in recent weeks to highlight how FIFA has collected money and invested it in the football associations, which each have an equally weighted vote in the presidential election.
This week Infantino was at the U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, where he declined to discuss his future and the current dispute with UEFA.
