Floyd Mayweather Jr. is accusing Conor McGregor of stealing his hall, and the two may have to fight again to settle the matter.
Mayweather and McGregor fought each other back in 2017. The fight was all hype and content, but that didn’t stop him from earning more than half a billion dollars, much of which went straight into Floyd’s pocket. So it’s not surprising considering he current financial situation that “Money” can hit that bank again.
“I actually think me and Conor McGregor might lock up again,” Mayweather said on the PBD Podcast. “Yeah, absolutely. He didn’t break his arm, he broke his leg, right? Okay, well, we’re going shoulder-to-shoulder. We’re going to shoulder-to-shoulder.”
Mayweather TKO’d McGregor in the 10th round of their fight and has suggested several times that he wore “The Notorious” through the early rounds. That didn’t stop an even bigger star, maybe even bigger than Floyd, from walking away from the McGregor fight because he somehow stole Floyd’s punch.
“The guy who took all my punch and took it over there to the UFC,” Mayweather declared. “As soon as Conor McGregor faced Floyd Mayweather, he was big as life.”
“His career wasn’t like that before. What was his biggest payday? What was his biggest fight? So when he got me, what kind of money did he make? I think I made about $300 (million). I don’t like to count the other guy’s pocket, but he ate well.”
According to reports, McGregor earned over $100 million, but the UFC also took a significant chunk of that payday. to 50 million dollars. McGregor is interested, but UFC CEO Dana White isn’t, even if his pie looks so good.
“There was nothing about the Mayweather fight that made me say, ‘You know, if we do it again, the result might be different,'” White explained when asked.
McGregor is currently sidelined with a knee injury and has one fight left on his UFC contract. After that, he’s free to do whatever he wants, and McGregor Vs. Mayweather would undoubtedly be on that list if Mayweather ever gets. gets into a big fight again.
