Scotland and Lions star Finn Russell has been named in Bath’s starting half for their final pre-season friendly against his former club Glasgow Warriors at Old Anniesland tonight (Friday).

Russell has been rested so far, missing friendlies against Perpignan and Bedford Blues and defeat in the PREM Rugby Cup Sale Sharks.

But Bath they brought him back to pull the strings at 10 against URC powerhouses Glasgow, with the start of the Gallagher PREM season just a week away.

The 33-year-old is joined in the starting line-up by number 8 Josh Bayliss, while the other two Scotland internationals – new prop Jamie Bhatti and center Cam Redpath – are on the bench.

His partner at half-back is South African Bernard van der Linde, with England the duo of Max Ojomoh and Ollie Lawrence combined in midfield.

Johann van Graan wasted no time in reintroducing Santi Carreras to the blue, black and white shirt, despite his recent big deal with Argentina.

Carreras’ return at full-back sees Tom de Glanville switch to the left wing and Joe Cokanasiga out wide on the right.

Beno Obano, who is set to embark on his final season at Bath before moving to Pau next summer, he packs in the front row with Dan Frost and England’s once again good Will Stuart.

Charlie Ewels will lead the team from the back row, alongside Ted Hill, while Bayliss is joined in the back row by two more internationals in Guy Pepper and Sam Underhill.

The game kicks off tonight at 7:30pm at Old Anniesland and can be followed live Glasgow Warriors YouTube page.
