After their stunning debut, fans were excited about the potential of The Wyatt Sicks in WWE.but the overtime faction did not and never fulfilled the original promise, and all five stable members were eventually released. In a post-WWE interview, Joe Gacy commented on the faction and claimed that very few of their ideas and suggestions were used.
“We had whole ideas that were never really used, but everything we’ve ever put out there that was used was more of a tweak to things that were already kind of written,” he said. interview with Denise Salcedo. “One of the last promos we did that didn’t air on TV, it was put online…they basically had this promo they originally wanted Bo (Dallas) to do by himself and we’d stand around him again, and one of the big fights was for us to try to get more development for us individually.”
Gacy claims that they suggested that each member of the Wyatt Sicks should have a bit of time in the promo section so that each would have their own individual voice and not feel like “glorified props”, especially since the reason for all the members being in the group was never revealed. The Patients ended up making their way through online advertising, which they saw as a promising development, but were released shortly after.
Looking back on their history as a faction in WWE, Gacy praised their first angle against Chad Gable and Alpha Academy.
“We were so strong and everything was amazing and I felt like we could do no wrong at that point,” he recalls. Gacy also fondly recalled their perspective with Carrion Cross, again noting that they started out strong, but noted how things eventually went downhill. “We had our first defeat against them, which was good,” he admitted.
Gacy speculated that the real point of decline came around Dallas’ injury, suggesting that the WWE creator may not have been willing to let them develop without him. “I think they saw us as one act, not as individuals,” Gacy opined. “When there wasn’t a piece of the act, they just didn’t have the faith to put it on TV.”
