Barboza (24-15) has signed with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Absolute Championship, according to the grappling promotion, continuing his combat sports career after calling it quits in August.

Barboza is now signed to ACBJJ, which organizes gi and no-gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournaments, superfights and mixed events.
Barboza has already proven himself in wrestling. He went up against a UFC middleweight Sharabutdin Magomedov March under the banner of Hype FC, their match ended in a draw.
“I made the right choices in terms of investments in this part of my life,” he said MMA junkie when asked about his future. “But I’m still 40. I’m still young and very excited about the future. I have a lot of things to do in the future. Thank God I made the right choices financially.”
