Tributes poured in over the past few days from all over the world for PAC, real name Benjamin Satterly, who died on September 27 at the age of 40. The fans who followed him over the years, the companies that gave him the opportunity to perform, and the wrestlers who shared the locker room with him all paid tribute in their own way. However, one tribute that really struck a chord came from PAC’s close friend and current AEW star Eddie Kingston, who posted a ten-minute video on Instagram the day after PAC’s death.
In the video, Kingston talked about how he’s been struggling since the death of PAC, as well as the recent death of Andy “The Butcher” Williams, who Kingston was also close friends with. Kingston admitted that he feels like he’s losing all the people who believe in him and would never judge him, and that despite wanting to attend AEW events every week, he just doesn’t know when he’ll be back in the company at this point.
Kingston went on to tell some funny stories about his interactions with the man he knew as “Benji.” Going to The Cheesecake Factory with their partners while they were both injured. Buying him mozzarella sticks for his birthday and shouting Andy Carroll’s name backstage as he was the only Newcastle United player Kingston knew as he once played for Kingston’s favorite team, Liverpool. He also talked about the time he was asked to cut a promo on PAC after initially being told that the AEW taping was over during the COVID-19 pandemic, but since Kingston had taken edibles to help him relax, he ended up doing a fun 30-minute promo that only had about 30 seconds of usable material.
Kingston finished by telling PAC that he loves him, to go and have fun with The Butcher and Brodie Lee and everyone who has come through in recent years, and that he will see him one day. PAC and Kingston were both rivals and partners in AEW, most recently teaming together on the Big Business episode of AEW Dynamite in March 2024, where they teamed with Penta El Zero Miedo to take on The Elite.
