One fighter has the opportunity to earn an additional $50,000
Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Los Angeles on September 19 UFC 331.
UFC CEO Dana White recently announced that a special “proper chaos bonus” will be awarded to the Crypto.com Arena fighter. The additional award will be introduced with the Paramount+ series “MobLand”.
Dana White will personally decide who earns the UFC 331 “Righteous Mayhem” bonus
White announced the bonus in collaboration with Paramount+’s “MobLand” program on Instagram. The bonus is a separate promotion from the usual $25,000 closing bonus and $100,000 in prizes: the Fight of the Night bonus and some Performance of the Night bonuses.
White has not set specific criteria for the new award, saying the decision is ultimately his.
“Long before I signed with Paramount, I’ve told you I’m a big fan of ‘MobLand.’ It’s one of the best shows on television,” White said in an Instagram video. “So for one night only, we’re bringing some good chaos to the Octagon. At UFC 331, we’re opening up some good chaos bonus. $50,000 will go to the fighter who I think deserves it the most.”
UFC 331 is headlined by a flyweight championship rematch Joshua Van
and former champion Alexandre Pantoja. A five-round lightweight bout with title implications will co-headline the card Arman Tsarukyan against Mauricio Ruffy.
